Fairy

   I'm a fairy that lives in these ruins. The four Sages told me to help any humans
   that came here, so I've been waiting here.

Fairies are mischievous creatures that live in the ruins. They were instructed by the four Sages to help any human that enters the ruins, and will do so if you bring them a certain item.

Meeting the Fairies

To meet with the fairies, you must find the cave in the Endless Corridor B-1. The fairy inside agrees to help you, but needs to decide on a symbol for you to use so her friends will recognize you. Bring her the Diviner Sensation ROM (purchased in the shop in Temple of the Sun E-5) and she'll decide on that as a symbol.

Finding the Fairies

Once this is complete, in certain rooms you will find sparkles of light that indicate a fairy is near. Equip the appropriate ROMs (see below) and stand on the light to summon the fairy.

Fairies can be found in the following rooms:

• Confusion Gate A-3: Left side of the elevator.
• Temple of Moonlight C-6: Above the spikes.
• Spring of the Sky D-5: On the left platform.
• Tower of the Goddess D-1: On top of the tower.
• Chamber of Extinction I-5: On the far right.
• Endless Corridor D-3: Above the left pot.
• True Shrine of the Mother C-5: Inside the alcove.
• Hell Temple D-7: On top of the room.

Types of Fairies

There are four types of fairies each with their own abilities.

• Red Fairy: Stays for a few seconds. When you stand still it will recover a bit of your VIT.
• Green Fairy: Stays for about a Minute. When you stand still it will recover a bit of your VIT.
• Blue Fairy: Recovers all of your VIT then leaves.
• Yellow Fairy (aka Key Fairy): Stays for little while and will help you solve certain nearby puzzles and unlock certain doors.

Using the Fairies

Depending on what ROMs you have equipped, one of the Four fairies can be summoned.

• Diviner Sensation: Summons a random of the four fairies.
• Diviner Sensation + Shalom: Always Summons a blue fairy.
• Diviner Sensation + Q-Bert: Always Summons a yellow fairy.

Other Fairies

There are several other fairies living in the ruins. These fairies do not require Diviner Sensation to appear, and cannot be used to create any of the above three effects.

• There is a fairy that lives in a cave in the Mausoleum of the Giants B-2. She appears once the fairies agree to help you, and provides a tip regarding healing fairies.
• The Medicine quest requires you to seek out a fairy in the Tower of Ruin that has been entrusted with the medicine, and kill the two false fairies that would lead you astray.
• A fairy lives in the lava deep beneath Inferno Cavern and must be visited as part of the process for unlocking Hell Temple.
